Fishing Clinics for Girl Scouts!!!
EPA Water Drop Project Program (B, J, C, S) – Girl Scouts of all ages can come and learn how water affects our everyday lives. Do you know the basic characteristics of a wetland? Learn how the wetlands provide habitat for wildlife and support biological diversity. Create a wall mural poster by the USGS and enter the River of Words poetry and art contest. IGFA is a Coastal Ecosystem Learning Center! Create a “mock-up” of your watershed. Florida Wetlands Project Program (D, B) – Daisies and Brownies get to learn about the wonderful world of wetlands! IGFA has a wonderful 4 acre wetland with a boardwalk so that the girls can enjoy what Florida used to look like. Scouts will examine aquatic organisms, identify different colored plants, hear sounds from different animals, learn about the different kinds of wetlands and construct their very own perspective of the Everglades! Water Wonders Badge Program (J) – Do you know where your drinking water comes from? How do different aquatic organisms move, breathe and protect themselves? What is the difference between salt and fresh water? See plankton and other cool aquatic organisms up close. Wildlife
Badge Program (J) Can you draw the design on a butterfly's wing?
